Dr. Kazi Saiful Islam graduated from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1987 and then joined the faculty as a Lecturer. After two years of teaching, he left for Canada to pursue higher studies. He obtained his Master's Degree (1992) and Ph. D. (1998) in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University and the University of Toronto, respectively. Dr. Islam then came to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue his consulting career, beginning with a position at a Supply Chain Management software company. He worked there for several years and later started his own supply chain consulting firm in 2010, APS4Business Consulting Inc. Dr. Islam has successfully implemented many projects with over 20 Fortune 500 Companies in the United States and Europe. He currently resides in the suburbs of Boston with his wife and two daughters. Dr. Islam is highly involved in community engagement efforts including leadership roles in volunteering opportunities and youth engagement programs.
